What is Market Watch?
- The Market Watch displays the last traded price, a percentage change of the stock and it helps you to view real-time price details of the sectors and/or scrips of your choice.
- It keeps you updated on the latest market movements and stock information.
Create Global and Local Market Watch:
Adding your Market Watch to your terminal is easy. There are two ways to do it:
Path 1: Market Watch >>> Blank Market watch >>> Local Market Watch
Path 2: Home >>> Market watch >>> Open as Local Market Watch >>> OK
Setting PERMANENT Market Watch:
Follow these steps to set your Permanent Market Watch, ensuring a fixed template for easy view of the market movements in the Trade Tiger terminal.
Settings >>> User Settings >>> Market watch >>> Select the columns for Market Watch >>> Default >>> Save
(In 4th Step, you have to select the preferred columns and arrange them with the help of 2 pointer buttons on the side of the scroll bar that are circled in red to set the columns in a desired sequence.
Setting TEMPORARY Market Watch (divide 2 types in a flow chart):
- After creating your customized Market Watch in Trade Tiger, we can change the settings without going into user settings directly through the market watch template.
- On the market watch template, find the ribbon of Exchange, Scrip Name, Current Price, etc. columns ribbon.
- Right click on that particular ribbon button.
- A box will appear showing the “Show Column Chooser” button.
- You can check and uncheck the columns in the same order as per your requirement.
- On the other hand, the columns can be clicked and dropped for the removal of columns.
- Please note, that these changes will be made only for that particular market watch and not all the market watch templates.
Mandatory Columns: (make this and ideal sequence one thing)
To effectively trade equity, futures, and commodities, we must have a Trade Tiger template with 18 columns. These 18 columns consist of Exchange Name, Scrip Name, Scrip Code, Price Columns, Market Depth Columns, Live Statistic Columns, Lot Size and Open Interest Column.

You can personalize the market watch for a better real-time market view. The below ideal sequence will make your market watch user-friendly and easy to analyze.

How to SAVE Market Watch?
Saving your Market Watch is easy. There are two ways to do it:
Path 1: Press CTRL+S >>> Choose Space to save the file on your device >>> Name the file >>> Save
Process 2: Market Watch >>> Save
Note: Note: Local Market Watch saves to your hard disk, Global Market Watch saves in the cloud. Once saved on your desktop, press [CTRL+S] for updates.
How to LOAD the previously Saved Market Watch?
Loading your saved Market Watch is easy. There are two ways to do it:
Path 1: Press CTRL+O >>> Select your saved file >>> Open
Path 2: Market Watch >>> Load >>> Open your saved file
How to REMOVE the previously Saved Market Watch?
Path 1: Market Watch >>> Remove OR Path 2: Right Click >>> Remove
What does IMPORT to Excel and Export to Excel mean?
“Importing to Excel” means bringing information from the market watch into an Excel sheet so you can work with and analyze the data on Trade Tiger.
“Exporting to Excel” means saving information from Excel into a market watch that can be used by Trade Tiger.
How to IMPORT the Market Watch to Excel?
Load your Market Watch and scroll through the Scrip List to ensure all columns are updated.
Right click >>>Import >>> Choose the file >>> Open
How to EXPORT the Market Watch to Excel?
Load your Market Watch and scroll through the Scrip List to ensure all columns are updated.
Right click >>> Export to Excel >>> Rename the file >>> Save
What is a PRE-DEFINED Market Watch?
- Ready-made Market Watch, or Pre-defined Market Watch, gives you instant data on top companies and market segments.
- Sharekhan offers Pre-defined Market Watches. They come with lists from exchanges like NSE, BSE, NSEFO, and MCX.
- Use Predefined Market Watch to quickly check data from specific exchanges and market segments without manually adding each company.
How to Change the THEME of Market Watch?
Settings >>> Themes >>> Choose the colour theme you prefer
We recommend using the Default Black Theme for the best experience.
**How to Change the FONT of Market Watch? **
Another way to adjust the font size is to go to Market Watch in the upper bar, click on “Settings” next to Option Calculator, and choose to increase or decrease the font size using the arrows.
